Free Feral Neutering

& Farm Colony Support Scheme

We’re really pleased to announce a strengthened TNR (Trap‑Neuter‑Return) scheme to support farms, smallholdings and rural properties with managing their resident feral and semi‑feral cats — completely free of charge.

Last year we neutered 52 feral cats, preventing hundreds of kittens being born into unsafe conditions.

What’s included (all free):

  • Neutering for all feral and semi‑feral cats on your property

  • Ear‑tipping for identification

  • Support with any kittens (please contact us - do not give them away)

  • Clear guidance on safe trapping and transport

  • Loan of high‑quality humane traps

  • Optional microchipping and worming available at landowner cost

Please Note: For this scheme, cats must be taken to Ddole Road Veterinary Clinic Ltd in Llandrindod Wells. We’ll guide you through safe trapping and transport so everything runs smoothly.

Why this matters

A stable, neutered colony benefits everyone:

  • Better welfare for the cats

  • Reduced toxoplasmosis risk to sheep, as wormed/neutered colonies shed fewer parasites

  • Less reliance on rodenticides, protecting wildlife, working dogs and pets

  • Natural pest control without the environmental impact of poison

  • Stronger relationships between farms and our charity, built on trust and shared goals

We already have several excellent traps, and with funding we hope to purchase more — allowing farms to trap and transport their own cats, reducing delays and volunteer strain.

If you have a feral colony on your farm or rural property and would like free neutering, please get in touch. We’ll talk you through the process, loan traps where needed, and help you get your colony stable, healthy and manageable.

This scheme is designed to work with farmers — practical, respectful, and grounded in real rural life.

Send us a message or email us if you’d like to register your colony or learn more.
