You may remember her… you saved her life - but she isn’t out of the woods yet
This little 12-year-old terrier may already feel familiar to many of you.
She came into our care in an emergency - after suffering a burst tumour that left her in a critical condition. At that moment, everything came down to seconds.
We had two choices: euthanasia, or emergency surgery.
Because of you, we were able to operate.
And because of you, she is still here.
She came from a much-loved home, where her owner faced an incredibly difficult decision. With no other options left, they made the brave choice to sign her over into rescue care so she could receive the urgent treatment she needed - and, with your help, a chance at survival.
Her first surgery cost just under £600, and donations went towards helping cover the cost. That support gave this older girl a future when she had none left.
A second fight we didn’t expect
While her recovery initially gave us hope, further investigations have now revealed more concerns.
A second tumour has been identified, and another lump has been found which now requires further surgery.
Her X-rays are reassuring - there is no sign of spread to the lungs. Her bloods are stable apart from an elevated white blood cell count. But she is not yet in the clear, and her care must continue.
Why this matters so much
She is a small terrier. An older girl. The kind of dog so many people recognise - gentle, familiar, and quietly resilient.
And right now, she is in the most vulnerable stage of her life.
Without intervention, her story would have ended weeks ago. Instead, she is still here - but still fighting.
How you can help her now
You already helped save her life.
Now we are asking for your support again so we can continue her treatment, investigate the new findings, and give her the chance to enjoy whatever time she has left free from pain.
Please donate here:
Every donation goes directly to veterinary care for her and other animals arriving in urgent need.
Thank you for standing with her when it mattered most - and again now, when it still does.
